(UPDATED) Game Factory Interactive Acquires Rights to Former Acclaim Properties
September 9th, 2004 (12:00am) - According to GameCube Advanced, Game Factory Interactive has purchased the rights to five Acclaim properties, which includes Fur Fighters, Gladiator, Re-Volt, Shadow Man and Urban Freestyle Soccer. Since Acclaim has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, we should be seeing similar announcements throughout the coming weeks as more and more Acclaim properties are auctioned off. Update:
According to our own sources, we’ve discovered that Game Factory Interactive has only acquired the publishing rights to these Acclaim properties in Russian territories. The publishing rights to these properties are still open to the rest of the world. Well, sort of... We’ll keep you updated on the situation as more information leaks through the grapevine.
