The Sims 2 Sells Through One Million Units in Ten Days
September 27th, 2004 (12:00am) - Electronic Arts has announced that, in just ten days, The Sims 2 has become the company’s largest PC-launch in its twenty-two-year history, selling more than one million units. Even more interesting is that more than fifty percent of the games sold were in Europe.
While many will argue with the statement, EA representative Frank Gibeau states that “The Sims franchise has become a cultural phenomenon and The Sims 2 is a game that changes the way we think about the industry.”
