Void War Completed
September 27th, 2004 (12:00am) - Rampant Games announced today that their long-anticipated space combat game, Void War, has finally been completed. Their newest project features easy-to learn old-school style gameplay, fusing current technology with space simulators from long ago.
There are two play modes in Void War, each of them containing their very own sub-modes as well. The single player mode includes a Campaign Mode and a Death Match mode, while the Multiplayer can be played with teams or with every man for himself. The Campaign Mode will present three difficulty levels to choose from, providing a challenge for any skill level. Void War will feature no less than six unique ships, each with their own special abilities, such as quad lasers or destructive missiles. Players will head into battle in areas called "void points", which are bordered by an electric field and make the boundaries of the arena. Combatants will also need to pick up helpful items such as missile packs, enhanced shields, instant-recharge, and repair bots at the right time so that the power-ups will help them to the fullest extent possible. The Void War trial version is offered for free. Players can download it and do battle with others all around the world at www.voidwar.com.
