Game Sharing and Demo Downloads On the Nintendo DS
October 7th, 2004 (12:00am) - GamesIndustry.biz reports that information has leaked out early regarding Nintendos press conference being held later tonight in Seattle, Washington.
Like Shigeru Miyamoto revealed the GameCubes Legend of Zelda title at E3 2004 in May, Miyamoto-san will make a similar appearance at the conference later today to announce and unveil the Legend of Zelda: Four Swords for the Nintendo DS. What Nintendo will also reveal is the companys plans to allow DS users to download games wirelessly from each other and play together, which is simply wireless multi-player through the use of just one Nintendo DS cartridge. Nintendo calls the feature "Game Sharing." Additionally, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata will reveal that Nintendo will release time-restricted demo versions of Nintendo DS games that will be available for download onto there DS hand-held at retailers nationwide. Other announcements are also expected to be made, including the official confirmation of the two new Pokemon DS titles GamersMark released info on earlier today
