October 8^th, 2004 (12:00am) - At the Goldman Sachs Communacopia XIII Conference held earlier this week, Electronic Arts’ CFO Warren Jensen told the press that Electronic Arts expects the PS3 to launch six months after Microsoft’s Xenon (Xbox 2).

Despite some skepticism by the press, EA is expecting that the Xenon will indeed launch during the holiday season of 2005. Although, Jensen did state that EA does not have all the specific details regarding both console launches.

Jensen even mentioned that Sony may even attempt to launch the PS3 as early as late 2005, to prevent Microsoft from getting a significant head start.
