October 8^th, 2004 (12:00am) - Ubisoft is quickly becoming one of the leading publishers of cutting edge games, and that tradition looks to continue with their newly announced Cold Fear. Developed by Darkwatch, the people behind the Dreamcast and PS2 versions of Alone in the Dark 4, Cold Fear is a new action-horror title that places the player into the shoes of Tom Hansen, a member of the U.S. Coast Guard that is sent onboard a derelict Russian whaling ship to investigate it’s mysterious existence.

“We’re excited to make our debut in the horror genre with a unique title like Cold Fear,” said Tony Kee, Vice-President of Marketing for Ubisoft. “It falls into a previously un-tapped category of realistic action-horror gameplay including vast environments and a disturbingly plausible storyline.”

The game is scheduled to launch simultaneously for Xbox, PS2 and PC in March of 2005.
