BloodRayne 2 Available

October 13th, 2004 (7:36pm) - Majesco today announced it has shipped its action-horror sequel, BloodRayne 2. Supporting the product’s introduction is the BloodRayne 2/Headbangers Ball Launch Event on October 21, 2004 from the House of Blues in Los Angeles.

“Since its original introduction in October 2002, BloodRayne has established itself as a cross-over entertainment property that enjoys the support of a loyal fan base,” said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing. “With enhanced game-play mechanics, graphics and engaging on-screen action, we anticipate that BloodRayne 2 will not only please current fans, but appeal to consumers new to the game as well.”

Born from the unnatural union of vampire and human, BloodRayne is blessed with the powers of a vampire but cursed with the unquenchable thirst for blood and a weakness to sunlight. BloodRayne 2 challenges the supernatural anti-heroine with her most personal battle yet as she hunts down each of her wicked siblings who are carrying on the legacy of their dead father, Kagan.

Expanding upon the distinctive features that were the hallmark of its predecessor – fast-paced acrobatic combat and supernatural powers – BloodRayne 2 includes new in-game dynamics such as pole combat, rail sliding and advanced melee fighting with fatality moves. Built upon a modified version of the Infernal Engine, BloodRayne 2 introduces threatening new bosses, all new environments set within a huge modern day city, a range of new supernatural powers and new motion-captured movements complete with soft-body physics.

Majesco is supporting the launch of BloodRayne 2 with a marketing campaign that includes extensive cross-promotions with MTV2, targeted TV and print advertising and a consumer pre-sell initiative. More information about the game can be found online at www.bloodrayne2.com.

Developed by Terminal Reality, BloodRayne 2 is available for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
