B.C. Development Brought to a Halt

October 22nd, 2004 (3:20pm) - Lionhead Studios has announced that development on B.C., an Xbox exclusive action/adventure set in prehistoric times, has been suspended.

Fable creator and Lionhead Managing Director Peter Molyneux confirmed earlier today that development on the game has been put on hold indefinitely.

"The decision to suspend work on any games project is always a difficult one, particularly when it is a title with the potential of BC," said Molyneux. "We hope to revive the project at a later date and will endeavor to assign as many of the team as possible to other Lionhead projects."

B.C. had been scheduled to launch in early 2005 and supposedly had been in its final stages of development. Additionally, developer Intrepid Computer Entertainment had even mentioned that they were planning to develop a sequel to the game.

With the development of the game being put on hold, rumors have surfaced that developer Intrepid may be falling apart.
