Two Yu-Gi-Oh! Games Shipped to Retailers

October 26th, 2004 (3:56pm) - Konami’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monster Coliseum for PlayStation 2 and Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler for the Game Boy Advance have shipped to retail stores nationwide. Joining the other titles in the highly successful video game series from Konami which have collectively sold more than 6.5 million units to date, Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monster Coliseum and Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler offer fans all-new interactive experiences featuring Yugi and his friends. Players’ abilities to strategize and summon monsters will be put to the ultimate test in these games which draw their inspiration from the top-rated animated TV show as well as the popular trading card game and comic book series.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monster Coliseum delivers the most strategic board dueling game to date. Players put their skills to the test in this turn-based board game where in-depth strategies are the keys to success in becoming the Capsule Monster King. Defeat your foes using a variety of monsters and techniques incorporated into the multiple modes of the game. In Versus Mode, players battle against their friends while Free Battle Mode lets players test their dueling skills. In Campaign Mode players face multiple characters and rivals from the Yu-Gi-Oh! comic book and TV series. Players will improve their strength and earn points to acquire new monsters or upgrade their current roster to complete the ultimate collection of capsule monsters.

For gamers on the go, Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler is a great addition for any Game Boy Advance library and is a brand new dueling game in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe. A fusion of the highly-popular Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game and a fun board game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler challenges gamers to be the first player to summon enough powerful monsters to achieve victory. Players can duel on a variety of different maps with multiple gameplay settings which provide tremendous replay value. With more than eight characters to choose from, each with their own special ability, as well as plenty of special roll attacks, Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler delivers an all new type of gameplay for fans to enjoy. Players will also be able link up with friends using the Game Boy Advance Game Link cable for four-player simultaneously play for the first time ever.
