Edge Magazine Reveals New Nintendo DS Developments
November 6th, 2004 (12:12pm) - Edge, a popular UK gaming magazine, has revealed new information regarding what a handful of developers are researching and testing on the Nintendo DS. The information is listed below. Many developers have managed to link as many as 32 Nintendo DS units together for multiplayer, which is twice the amount of the announced number. A handful of companies are working on internet browsers for the Nintendo DS due to the presence of WiFi. Bandai has successfully connected a DS to a PC. Square-Enix has revealed that theyve been experimenting with the PlayOnline service on the DS.All these new pieces of information are rather interesting. In particular, that of Bandai connecting the DS to the PC. This revelation may open the door for piracy on the Nintendo DS much earlier than expected, if expected at all.
