The Nintendo DS Shipping Early?
November 10th, 2004 (8:28pm) - Back in October Nintendo of America and its parent, NCL revealed that the Nintendo DS would release on November 21st at the suggested retail price of $149.99 with a lineup upwards of 12 games. Since then, several publishers have changed their release dates for their titles, half moving back a week, the rest moving into December.
Today, evidence arose to suggest that the Nintendo DS could, in fact, be launching early, a whole week early to be exact. The alleged new launch date for the NDS is November 16th, according to emails released by Gamestop to its customers, which notified them of the change. To back this up inadvertently, Electronic Arts released a press release stating that The Urbz: Sims in the City for the handheld would launch alongside the NDS on the 16th of November. If this is all true, then it explains why several publishers are releasing games early. Amongst these publishers are Namco, Sega, Ubisoft, and Electronic Arts. The suggested retail price for the NDS and its games still remain at $149.99 and $29.99 respectively, so no real change there. Just be sure to have the money ready a whole week early. GamersMark will have more on this development as it unfolds. Reported by Brad Mosbacher on November 10th, 2004 (8:28pm) [From: GamersMark Network]
