Gran Turismo 4 Gets Delayed
November 18th, 2004 (11:38am) - In September, Polyphony Digital announced that Gran Turismo 4 would not be featuring the much wanted online multiplayer modes originally promised to fans, and after undergoing numerous delays, the game has been delayed again in Japan, most likely resulting in a delayed North American release.
Gran Turismo 4 will now be released on Dec. 28th in Japan, pushed back from its previously scheduled Dec. 3rd release. The reason for the delay has been mentioned as an "unfinished error fixing." This delay could have a significant impact on the potential North American sales of the game. It is very likely that the games North American release will slip into early 2005, resulting in Sony missing the opportunity to maximize sales of the title during the holiday season.
