Three Tribes Announced for the Game Boy Advance
November 26th, 2004 (7:53pm) - Two Tribes, a Dutch game developer behind Capcoms Toki Tori, has announced that it is developing a tentatively titled game by the name of Three Tribes for the Game Boy Advance. At its core, Three Tribes is an action/puzzle game designed for all ages. The player will take on the role of the village Shaman, who helps the other natives as much as he can. The game world is designed to be as open as possible, motivating players to find their own solutions instead of forcing it on them. Using custom technology, specifically designed for Three Tribes, the game offers players a huge amount of freedom. You can walk, jump, float or fly to wherever you want. "Three Tribes is the project name for our latest original game title. It is designed for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS systems." says Martijn Reuvers, project manager at Two Tribes. "Born out of our desire to create something unique and playable for portable devices, it represents the efforts of countless hours debating, programming and creating content." While Mr. Reuvers may be quoted in saying that the game is designed for the Nintendo DS as well, unless the game will be released in two different forms, hes most likely just referring to the Nintendo DS backwards compatibility to play Game Boy Advance games.
