SCEA Gives Away Free Games to Victims of Demo Disc Dilemma
December 7th, 2004 (2:22pm) - Last month Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) and Capcom issued to PlayStation Underground members a statement regarding a glitch found in the Holiday 2004 Demo Disc. The playable demo of Viewtiful Joe 2 found on the disc contains a glitch that will erase all of the save files from memory cards inserted into the console at the time.
Although SCEA has already apologized to gamers for the inconvenience, they have gone a step further by giving away free games to the victims of this memory card dilemma. The games announced in the giveaway are Athens 2004, ATV Offroad Fury 3, Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, Hot Shots Golf Fore!, MLB 2004, Parappa the Rapper 2, Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Wild Arms 3. Readers in possession of the PlayStation Underground Holiday 2004 Demo Disc can send the disc to an address supplied by SCEA in order to receive their free game. The address can be received by calling the following phone number: 1-800-345-7669. *There is a limit of one game per PS2 Serial number*
