December 10th, 2004 (2:20am) - The latest Media Create weekly sales charts show us that Square Enix’s Dragon Quest VII continues to be the nation’s most popular game title, however, thanks to the release of Nintendo’s dual screened handheld, the Nintendo DS, many of the platform’s launch titles have made it onto the list, with a port of Super Mario 64 selling through 150,000 units.
Here are the Top 10 Japanese game titles for the week of Nov. 29 - Dec. 5, 2004:

The hardware side of things shows us that the Nintendo DS made a successful launch in Japan with over 450,000 units of the handheld sold in its debut week. Aside from this new entry, the hardware sales charts haven’t undergone much of a change, with the PlayStation 2 continuing to be the best selling home platform.
