Details On Tekken 5s Bonus Mode; New Screenshots
December 17th, 2004 (3:10pm) - Namco has revealed some details regarding Tekken 5s bonus mode. This bonus mode will act like a beat em up spin-off of sorts which unfolds the side storyline of character Jin Kazama.
This bonus mode promises to bring players "more invigorating fighting action than ever before", including blasting off or pounding a large number of enemies coming at them in mass quantities. Players can also enjoy unique actions not allowed in the main game, including the ability to move freely throughout stages, destroy columns and walls, jump to the second floor, double jump to obtain out-of-reach items and hang from walls. The bonus mode will also contain a number of strategic elements to challenge players as they advance further along in stages. Tekken 5 brings back the series popular cast of characters from the previous games, along with three new characters, for a total of 20 default characters to start and more to unlock as players progress in the game. Tekken 5 allows players to use their fight money to customize their characters with various accessories such as hats, glasses and an assortment of different costumes. Each of the new characters are equipped with a variety of deadly techniques, and the returning characters have been updated with new moves and attack combinations. Tekken 5 is scheduled for a release in early 2005 exclusively for the PlayStation 2. Enjoy the new screens! Reported by Elias Dounis on December 17th, 2004 (3:10pm) [From: Namco]
