New SWAT 4 and Empire Earth 2 Screenshots
December 21st, 2004 (1:29pm) - Continuing today’s media blitz are new screenshots of two upcoming Vivendi Universal videogames, SWAT 4 and Empire Earth 2.
Developed by Irrational Games, SWAT 4 allows players to take control of a squad of up to five police officers tasked with performing dangerous operations such as high-risk arrests, hostage rescue and counter-terrorism. As the unit’s commander, players must follow authentic police tactics as they breach and clear a concrete jungle filled with armed felons and innocent bystanders alike. Featuring graphics courtesy of the Vengeance engine powered by Unreal, SWAT 4 delivers 16 authentic environments set in stunningly rendered locations representing a wide variety of operational environments. Realistic ballistics and Havoc defined object physics will further heighten the experience for the player by providing an added layer of atmospheric authenticity. SWAT 4 is scheduled for a Spring 2005 release. Empire Earth II is the follow-up to 2001’s somewhat popular world domination RTS game of the same name. The sequel features impressive graphics, picture-in-picture display options, and an improved resource management system that helps to alleviate some of the tedious work giving players more free time to do the important things, like burn down neighboring villages. Empire Earth II is set to ship on the 26th of April, 2005. Enjoy the new screens! Reported by Elias Dounis on December 21st, 2004 (1:29pm)
