Hardware
The hardware side of things has also seen a significant increase in sales and topping off the charts once again is the Nintendo DS. Nintendos dual-screened handheld seems to be quite popular among Japanese consumers, selling more than 1 million units in a single month. As expected, many of the other platforms have also increased in sales compared to the previous week, with the most significant increase being that of GameCube sales. With more than 100,000 pieces of the console purchased by consumers its quite possibly the highest hardware sales number Nintendo has seen for the platform all year. Concerning the PSP, its sales continue to sell at a steady pace despite the limited supply available at retail.
