EA Denies Reports of NBA Bid
January 4th, 2005 (1:53pm) - In late December, IGNs Jon Robinson had reported that EA had made an attempt to bid on exclusive arrangements with the NBA, to sign a similar exclusivity agreement as they had done with the NFL, but supposedly the NBA had rejected EA’s initial offer. Well, an Electronic Arts spokesperson told GamesIndustry.biz this morning that "the IGN story is wrong - EA has not asked for an exclusive and the NBA has not rejected an EA offer for an exclusive."
Unfortunately, this still does not rule out that EA is indeed looking to pursue an exclusive agreement with the NBA. Reported by Elias Dounis on January 4th, 2005 (1:53pm) [From: GamesIndustry.biz]
