New Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and WarioWare Touched! Media

January 5th, 2005 (1:21am) - Nintendo of America has released some new images of two of their upcoming GameCube and Nintendo DS games, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and WarioWare Touched!.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat returns Nintendo’s hairy mascot back to his side-scrolling roots in a strange way. Using the DK Bongo controller players will be able to control DK’s actions in a unique way as they bang on the drums and clap to make DK plow through all sorts of enemies and obstacles. According to early impressions from fans that imported the Japanese version of the game, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is shaping up to be the best Donkey Kong game since the Super NES days. Developed by Nintendo Tokyo, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat features some of the most stunning 3D visuals seen in any GameCube and will be available on North American shores on March 14th.

WarioWare Touched! is the newest installment in Nintendo’s bizarre WarioWare franchise. Unlike most Nintendo DS games currently available, WarioWare Touched! promises to use most of the Nintendo DS’ unique gameplay features. The game debuted as a Nintendo DS launch title in Japan and since then has already become on the dual-screened handheld’s most popular games. WarioWare Touched! will see a release on February 14th.
