Multiplayer Features for Close Combat: First to Fight Revealed!

January 7th, 2005 (1:51pm) - Global Star Software and developer Destineer have finally revealed details regarding the multiplayer aspect of Close Combat: First to Fight.

As you might expect from a team-based game like First to Fight, the emphasis in multiplayer is on co-op play. While there’s team based deathmatch, the real meat of multiplayer is the ability to play through the entire single player campaign via co-op. You can do so via online and LAN on PC, and via split screen or Xbox Live on Xbox. However, this is just a glimpse at the cool multiplayer features. The game will also include more advanced options, like one mode where your entire team has a "life pool" that limits the total number of respawns.

First to Fight is an action-oriented, team-based 3D first-person shooter, in which players lead a 4-man fireteam of US Marines through the perils of modern urban combat. The game is set in a modern, mid-eastern city.

The game was created with the close involvement of the United States Marine Corps, which plans to use First to Fight to train Marines

Close Combat: First to Fight is scheduled for a release on March 8th, 2005 for the PC and Xbox and will carry a suggested retail price of $39.99.
