Too Human still in development?
February 7th, 2005 (10:27pm) - Too Human once began as a massive videogame endeavor from developer Silicon Knights for the PSone, and it was originally scheduled to see a release for the platform in the year 2000. However, when Nintendo signed Silicon Knights as a second-party developer, the development of the game had been been put on hiatus in order to begin development on the GameCubes Eternal Darkness (which originally started as a Nintendo 64 title). When the GameCube made its debut at SpaceWorld 2000, Too Human was shown in FMV form during a GameCube demo reel, but since then not much has been heard about the game and many assumed that Too Human had been canned for good. Well, it seems that Too Human isnt done for since Silicon Knights has filed a trademark for the games name at the U.S. Patent and Trademark office on January 25th, 2005. Because of this, many believe that theres still a chance that Too Human may indeed see the light of day. However, Nintendo fans and GameCube owners must take note that the game may not appear on a Nintendo console (or even on a videogame console of the current generation). Since May of last year it has been said that Nintendo and Silicon Knights have ended their relationship with Nintendo in order to broaden their audience by developing for all videogame platforms. Unfortunately, Nintendo nor Silicon Knights have released an official statement regarding. According to previous reports of the games development, Too Human follows the path of John Franks, a man who lives in a futuristic world in the year 2450 AD. Silicon Knights once called the game a futuristic psychological thriller that goes deep into a problem the earth has faced for years, prejudice, in a future filled with cyborgs and robots. The game allows players to use cybernetics to enhance vision, leg strength, arm strength, stamina, mental capacity, etc. and a massive action RPG experience that once promised over 80 hours of gameplay.
