February 9^th, 2005 (1:31pm) - Konami of Europe has revealed a brand spanking new Konami videogame in development for the PS2, Xbox and PC and that game is Crime Life: Gang Wars. From the looks of things, Crime Life: Gang Wars seems to be another game that will attempt to utilize the extremely popular Grand Theft Auto gameplay formula. In fact, the game seems to be very muck like the latest GTA game, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, although from the looks of it, much of the gameplay seen features hand to hand combat involving fist fights and grappling maneuvers.

In Crime Life: Gang Wars players will walk of the cruel streets of Grand Central City, an urban jungle, steeped in violence. Where ruthless gangs vie for power, and the police struggle to contain them. The Outlaws, led by ’Big Dog’, used to rule this city but were overrun in a power struggle by Justiss and the Headhunterz during the famous Gang Wars that occurred some years earlier. The scars of these wars are still fresh.

In the game players will step into the shoes of ’Tre’, a young Outlaw driven by the ambition of becoming somebody respected by the street. This journey will find him protecting his community from the other gangs as they battle for street supremacy and building up his reputation because in this city, reputation is everything. For Tre to survive he must establish himself as the toughest fighter and to do that, he needs to face the Kingpin of Grand Central, Justiss.

Crime Life: Gang Wars is scheduled to see a release for the PS2, Xbox and PC in Fall 2005.
