Media Create’s Japanese Software and Hardware Sales for the Jan. 31 - Feb. 6, 2005

February 10th, 2005 (6:57pm) - Software
The newest Media Create software sales charts show a total drop in sales compared to the previous week. From this latest chart we can see that the GameCube’s Resident Evil 4 may not have the drawing power needed to sell a couple hundred thousand copies of the game in Japan, despite the quality of the game.

Here are the Top 10 Japanese game titles for the week of Jan. 31 - Feb. 6, 2005:

Game Title, (Platform, Publisher) - Units Sold During the Week - Total Sales
1. Super Robot Taisen Original Generation 2 (GBA, Banpresto) - 117,876 - new
2. Another Century’s Episode (PS2, Bandai) - 39,694 - 220,579

Hardware
For the fourth time in a row, the PSP has once again sold more than Nintendo’s DS. Similar to the software sales chart, total hardware sales have also lessened for the week.

Here are the Hardware sales for the week of Jan. 31 - Feb. 6, 2005:

System - Sales this week - Total this year
