Xbox 2 to feature removable hard drive?

February 23rd, 2005 (2:25pm) - Technology news site Engadget is reporting that the Xbox 2 will feature a removable hard drive that will supposedly attach itself to the top of the console "in a really slick way, almost like the hood scoop on a muscle car."

It has been reported previously that Microsoft will release two basic models of the Xbox 2, Xenon, Xbox 360, or whatever you want to call it, this fall. In addition, developers working on the hardware have leaked out information that Microsoft has disclosed that there will be a mass storage device for the platform, although it will not be relied upon for the development of game titles, as many developers have with the original Xbox.

\Of course, all of this information may or may not be proven false when the console makes its debut in May at E3.
