Clint Eastwood signs up with Warner Bros as the voice for Dirty Harry
February 26th, 2005 (3:02am) - Clint Eastwood has confirmed that he will be lending his voice and likeness to a new game based on the popular 1970s Dirty Harry film franchise developed by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment. Eastwood will be reprising the role of Harry Callahan for the games, as well as providing consultancy for the developers of the next-generation console title on a number of "key creative aspects". "This will be an opportunity to satisfy the many requests over the years to continue the Dirty Harry legacy, only now in the video game medium," Eastwood commented in an official statement. "Creating Dirty Harry video games will also introduce this memorable film character to new generations on a medium they appreciate," he concluded. Warner Bros has not announced which platforms - or indeed what release date - it will be targeting with the new game, but its described as being for next-generation consoles, which implies that Microsofts Xbox Next and Sonys PlayStation 3 are the most likely.
