Sonic Adventure 3: Shadow of the Hedgehog revealed!
March 9th, 2005 (12:07am) - Sonic the Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka let word slip a month ago to a Nintendo-based magazine in Europe that a new Sonic Adventure game is development for the GameCube and that it would see a release in Fall 2005. Well, that new Sonic Adventure game has finally been unveiled, however it may not star our favorite blue hedgehog at all, but instead his darker shadow.
At the Metreon earlier today, Segas mascot Sonic the Hedgehog had honored as the very first inductee into the "Walk of Game." Accepting the award had been a seven-foot tall Sonic the Hedgehog, and after the acceptance, a video rolled with a compilation of video snippets from the many games featuring Segas biggest mascot. However, the end of the video showcased a new Sonic Adventure game that stars Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Adventure 3: Shadow of the Hedgehog. From the footage shown, Shadow of the Hedgehog seems to feature similar gameplay to what weve seen from the Sonic and Shadow portions of the last three 3D Sonic games, although there is a twist. Shadow is packin heat. Yes, you heard right. Shadow the Hedgehog will be carrying a gun. Thanks to the popularity of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise on the GameCube, and because of Yuji Nakas previous statement, it would be safe to assume that Sonic Adventure 3: Shadow of the Hedgehog would be appearing on the GameCube. It is also very likely that PlayStation 2 version is in the works, however seeing that Sega has attempted to improve their multiplatform support, a Xbox version of the game also has a slim chance of appearing. Of course, well have more information on the game as soon as its available. Reported by Elias Dounis on March 9th, 2005 (12:07am) [From: Sega]
