GDC: Animal Crossing DS and Legend of Zelda 2005 screenshots
March 11th, 2005 (10:04am) - Nintendo President Satoru Iwata didn’t showcase many games at his Game Developers Conference keynote address yesterday, however, he did happen to showcase two highly anticipated games for the Nintendo’s DS and GameCube platforms, Animal Crossing and the next Legend of Zelda game.
Animal Crossing for the Nintendo DS will be one of the very first games to utilize the Nintendo DS’ global WiFi play. Using a service Nintendo will provide later this year, Nintendo DS users will be able to connect to the service wirelessly at Wi-Fi hot spots, whether they’re at home, in a hotel or at a coffee shop. This newest Legend of Zelda game for the GameCube is expected to be the last great videogame for the Nintendo GameCube. From these screenshots, it certainly looks like an adventure grander than any Zelda game fans have ever gotten their hands on before. Details regarding specific gameplay and plot elements are still scarce, but many of our questions should be answered when the game is fully unveiled at E3 in May.
