Rumor: Online compatible Pro Evolution Soccer to the Nintendo DS and Revolution
March 17th, 2005 (3:59pm) - SPOnG is reporting that versions of Konamis extremely popular Pro Evolution Soccer are in development for the Nintendo DS and Revolution as part of an agreement made between Konami and Nintendo in order to bring some of Konamis most popular franchises to Nintendo platforms. Both versions of the soccer game will feature online multiplayer modes and some platform-specific features that have not yet been disclosed.
In addition, SPOnG is reporting that Nintendo had to agree to the development of Dance Dance Revolution with Mario in order to secure these Nintendo DS and Revolution installments of Pro Evolution Soccer. According to one of the sites insiders, DDR with Mario isnt on either Konamis or Nintendos priority list, stating that “do you really think there’s any viability in launching a game that requires a bespoke peripheral at the very end of its [the GameCubes] lifecycle?” Reported by Elias Dounis on March 17th, 2005 (3:59pm) [From: SPOnG]
