Stolen developer Blue 52 closes its doors
March 21st, 2005 (10:26am) - MCV, a UK trade publication, has revealed that London-based game development studio Blue 52 will be closing its doors. Blue 52 is the developer of the upcoming stealth-action game Stolen for the PC, PS2 and Xbox, which is still scheduled for a release in April, being published by Hip Interactive. “Blue 52 has been liquidated because it was unable to continue to support the overheads necessary for several development teams and a separate technology and tools department,” Blue 52 co-director Jaid Mindang told MCV. "We are continuing to pursue new development contracts with other publishing partners," he added. Unfortunately, there is no word regarding the future of the developers console FPS, Deadlight. According to numerous sources, a small team is currently working on finishing the development on Stolen at new premises, while core staff members hop to set a new development studio by the name of Curve Games Studios later in the year.
