Media Creates Japanese Software and Hardware Sales for the Mar. 28 - Apr. 3, 2005
April 8th, 2005 (1:45pm) - Make its debut in the No. 1 spot this week is Namcos critically acclaimed Tekken 5. Of course, games like Touch! Kirby for the Nintendo DS and Winning Eleven 8 are also performing well on the charts, showing some legs and possible staying on these Media Create charts for a few more weeks. On the hardware front, while the PS2 tops the charts, the Nintendo DS once again outsold the PSP. As we mentioned last week, this jump in Nintendo DS sales is the result of the new colors of the hardware released in Japan. Sales of Nintendos dual-screened handheld are expected to increase significantly when Nintendo releases Nintendogs for the platform.
