Francis Ford Coppola Disapproves "Godfather" Videogame Adaption

April 9th, 2005 (10:44pm) - Francis Ford Coppola, the director of "The Godfather" films, has recently expressed his disapproval with Paramount Pictures for selling off the videogame rights to "The Godfather" to Electronic Arts. Coppola revealed this on the American Movie Classics (AMC) cable network show "Sunday Morning ShootOut."

"I knew nothing about it. They never asked me if I thought it was a good idea," said Coppola. "They use the characters everyone knows, and then for the next hour they shoot and kill each other. I had absolutely nothing to do with the game, and I disapprove."

The Godfather for the PlayStation 2, PSP, Xbox and PC is scheduled for a release this fall.
