"Jak and Daxter" Spin-off Starring Daxter in Development for the PSP
April 11th, 2005 (7:20pm) - Naughty Dog has revealed that developer Ready at Dawn is in development with a action/adventure game for the PS2 starring Daxter, the sidekick of the popular Jak and Daxter franchise.
It is said that this Daxter spin-off for the PSP will offer some sort of connectivity features with the PS2s Jak X: Combat Racing. "If youve got both games and connect your PSP to your PS2, youll be able to get characters from Daxter PSP into Jak as racers," says Evan Wells, co-president of Naughty Dog. "You can select them, and also probably special vehicle customizations and looks, because we have personalization of vehicles. [Youll be able to] put stickers on and make [your vehicle] look like its from Daxter PSP." Working on Daxter PSP is Didier Malenfant, one of Ready at Dawns founders. Malenfant had previously been an employee at Naughty Dog and worked on such games as Crash Team Racing for the PSone and the original Jak and Daxter. In addition, ex-blizzard employees Andrea Pessino and Ru Weerasuriya will be working with Malenfant on Daxter PSP. Reported by Elias Dounis on April 11th, 2005 (7:20pm) [From: 1UP]
