Halo 2 downloadable maps dated
April 18th, 2005 (10:37pm) - While many in the Halo 2 world were busy downloading the auto-update today, Bungie released some more good news for those who just cant get enough Halo 2 goodness. The first downloadable multiplayer maps are set to be available on Xbox Live April 25th. Two of the upcoming maps will be free of charge, while the other two will cost $5.99.
The two free maps are titled Containment and Warlock. Containment is a massive level blanketed with snow, while Warlock was influenced by the Halo: Combat Evolved map titled Wizard. The Killtacular Pack will include Turf and Sanctuary, and will be available for $5.99. Turf is set in the narrow streets of Old Mambosa, while Sanctuary is a dilapidated Forerunner compound thats set on Delta Halo. If youre one who doesnt want to pay $5.99 for the Killtacular Pack, it will be free of charge on June 28th. Also on June 28th, five additional maps, Terminal, Elongation, Gemini, Backwash, and Relic, will be available for download for $11.99. The Killtacular Pack, plus those five maps, can be purchased for $19.99 from Bungie on June 28th, as well. Reported by Kyle Johnson on April 18th, 2005 (10:37pm)
