Third Downloadable Content Available Now for Ghost Recon 2

April 21st, 2005 (9:13pm) - It was announced today by Ubisoft that new downloadable console is now available for download via Xbox LIVE for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon 2.

Ghost Recon 2, developed by Red Storm Entertainment, has been completely reworked to take advantage of the latest technology on the Xbox, and yet again established new standards for addictive and immersive single and multiplayer action.

With a realistic storyline set in the hostile terrain of North Korea in 2011, a killer Lone Wolf single-player mode based on prototypical soldier-of-the-future combat equipment currently being developed by the US government, a full team of new Ghosts, a brand new over-the-shoulder camera angle (in addition to the beloved first-person perspective), and incredible graphics and technology, gamers find themselves fully immersed in the chaos of the war of tomorrow.

The download contains the following maps that have been reworked, as well as the following character skins:

  • Flooded Bunkers (Map): Rain, pooling water, and restricted sight lines all make for a brand new experience on one of the most popular multiplayer maps.
  • Dam Pumping Station (Map): This "trimmed down" version of the original Dam single player map provides plenty of cover and changes the gameplay to a fast-paced action experience.
  • Dam River Crossing (Map): This map offers cool sniper perches and multiple combat areas involving cover. The water at the low-lying river ford brings in a great element of tension and player vulnerability.
  • Novelty Set 1 (Skin) – Raptor Rider, Pumpkin Head, and Peg Leg Pirate
  • Novelty Set 2 (Skin) – Man Riding Turkey, Christmas Box Man, and Bunny Man
