Battlefield Modern Combat to be next-gen in 2006
April 25th, 2005 (9:31am) - Digital Illusions announced today that the next Battlefield game will be available in the first quarter of 2006 for the next-gen console from Microsoft, currently named Xbox 360. Battlefield 2: Modern Combat allows players to take control of over 30 vehicles, and allows them to engage in major conflicts with up to 24 players online by using over 50 state of the art weapons. Digital Illusions, best known for the RalliSport Challenge and Battlefield series, updated its launch timetable revealing also a PSP version of Battlefield 2 Modern Combat as well as its next-generation lineup.
