18 Year Old Shot Over PlayStation Theft
April 26th, 2005 (10:43pm) - "We looked in the room and the play station was missing so we called him, and he said he didnt do it at first but then he then he was like Ill beat your butt and stuff like that gave us that hint he did it," Amber Golsen said. Amber Golsen and her boyfriend came home to find their PlayStation gone. She says they knew it was taken by a nearby neighbor. So Amber, her boyfriend, and several more friends went to get it back. "He comes out with a shotgun, all the boys scatter out start running to the field, I was afraid if I got up I would get hit so we both duck down he puts a shotgun to our face and says how does it feel," she continued. The alleged thief then proceeded to bust out all of Ambers windows in her car. "Im still shaking from it," Amber said. And thats not the worst, an 18 year old was hit in the gunfire. Witnesses say the injured teen ran several yards to a house where he called for help after being shot. Police immediately pulled up. It wasnt long before they had a suspect in cuffs locked in the backseat. "All this over a PlayStation, you know." While police arent releasing any names yet, one adult is charged with first degree assault in this shooting. As for the 18 year old, hes in stable condition in Huntsville Hospital.
