200,000 DS Units Sold in the UK Alone
April 27th, 2005 (1:07am) - Nintendo of Europe has announced that the Nintendo DS has sold over 200,000 units of the Nintendo DS handheld in just over six weeks since launch. The DS broke records in the UK by selling approx. 87,000 units in just two days.
"We are extremely pleased with the success of the Nintendo DS and will continue to watch with excitement as it fulfills its obviously huge potential," said James Honeywell, UK Product Manager for Handheld Consoles. "It is great to see that British gamers, like their Japanese and American counterparts, can recognize a revolutionary new console when they see it!"
