MoSys Reveals Mid-2006 Release for Nintendo’s "Revolution"

May 10th, 2005 (5:46pm) - Monolithic Systems Technology (MoSys) revealed earlier today, in its investor conference call, that it will be supplying embedded 1T-SRAM for Nintendo’s next-gen successor to the GameCube, codenamed "Revolution." In this announcement, MoSys states that Nintendo will launch the Revolution in mid-2006 (territories not specified).

"During the quarter we announced that NEC Electronics will now use our 1T-SRAM embedded memory technologies on their advanced 90nm process, and that the initial designs to be incorporated in SoCs will be used in Nintendo’s next-generation game console, codenamed Revolution," said Voll. "We are excited to be a participating member of the Nintendo team once again as Nintendo will roll out its successor game console to the GameCube in mid-2006."

We hope to have more on the Nintendo Revolution as E3 draws closer. Expect tons of coverage on Nintendo’s press conference as GamersMark will be their in person.
