Tomy and Takara to Merge
May 12th, 2005 (1:10am) - The latest reports out of Japan have stated that game developers Tomy and Takara will be merging. Tomy is responsible for the highly popular Naruto and Zoids games in Japan while Takara is best known for its Choro Q racing series. Together, Tomy and Takara will make Japans 4th largest toy and game company. Just last week we revealed that Namco and Bandai will be merging, a deal that is expected to be finalized in October. These mergers are believed to be a result of the declining Japanese videogame market.
