Nintendo’s Perrin Kaplan Appears on CNBC

May 18th, 2005 (4:34pm) - Nintendo’s Perrin Kaplan appeared on CNBC today and spoke about Nintendo’s E3 presence to CNBC’s Bill Griffeth.

Kaplan first showed off the Game Boy Micro, Nintendo’s latest Game Boy Advance hardware revision. She confirmed that the Game Boy Micro would be release sometime during the later summer or early fall.

Kaplan also spoke a bit on Nintendo’s next-gen console, the Revolution. Kaplan compared the console to a Ferrari, saying, that like the Ferrari, the Revolution is powerful and sleek.

When asked why Nintendo didn’t show more about the Revolution’s features and its games at Nintendo’s pre-E3 press conference, Kaplan responded by saying that Nintendo is "...the last company to truly put games first. Nintendo will still stick to innovation. That’s been our main focus and has rewarded us every time."

Unfortunately, no additional information regarding Nintendo’s next-gen console had been revealed.
