Factor 5 Developing Two Original Games for the PS3
May 22nd, 2005 (1:33pm) - Julian Eggebrecht, President of developer Factor 5, has revealed that Factor 5 is in development with two original titles for Sony’s PlayStation 3, in addition to a non-interactive demonstration showcasing the capabilities of the PS3 hardware. "It’s a huge step up," said Factor 5 President Julian Eggebrecht of the PS3. "It’s quite crazy, with production values so high." "What’s great is that Sony stepped up to the plate and said, ’Hey, we believe in you guys, so why don’t we do something original together?’" Eggebrecht said. Factor 5 is best known for their Star Wars Rogue Squadron series. The developer has been known to work exclusively with Nintendo’s platforms over the past few years, however, this announcements shows that Factor 5 is already looking to develop for multiple game consoles, if not exclusively with Sony.
