Nintendos Revolution Launching in Late 2006
May 27th, 2005 (1:35pm) - MCV is reporting that its source at Nintendo has leaked information regarding Nintendos current outline for launching their next-gen console, the Revolution.
Nintendo has often said that it will not be the last home game console to launch, however, the company may not stay true to its previous statements. MCVs source has stated that the Revolution will launch in November 2006 in North America, in Japan shortly thereafter, and in PAL territories in Spring 2007. After E3, MCVs source said the following:
Revolution will launch towards the end of next year. Were currently looking at mirroring the DS strategy, so Revolution would release in the US first in November, closely followed by Japan – then were looking at March 2007 for PAL territories. Microsofts Xbox 360 is scheduled to launch later this Winter with Sonys PlayStation 3 currently scheduled to make its retail debut during the Spring of 2006 in Japan. If this new information is to be trusted, Nintendos next-gen console will be the very last to launch.
