Army Ranger: Mogadishu Coming to a PC Near You for Budget Price

May 30th, 2005 (11:50am) - Groove Games has announced that it will be publishing Army Ranger: Mogadishu for PC, where players take part in the events leading upto the historic firefight that took place in Mogadishu, Somalia on October 3, 1993. Developed by Jarhead Games, the creators of the best-selling Marine Sharpshooter, Marine Sharpshooter II and World War II Sniper. Army Ranger: Mogadishu immerses players in direct action operations that include protecting shipments, defending HQ from mortar attacks, arresting key officials, rescuing hostages and destroying enemy facilities.

In the game, players take the role of the commander of a squad of Army Rangers, giving the soldiers orders to Go, Cease Fire, Hold Position and Engage. Game mission maps with waypoints help players complete the game objectives through the 10 single player missions. Gamers use authentic military vehicles, including HMMVVS and Blackhawks, and equip themselves with various combat weapons, including knives, M16s and M103 grenade launchers to complete mission objectives.
