June 7^th, 2005 (9:13pm) - Digital Illusions CE has announced that it will be closing its New York office. This New York office had been the home to the members developer Trauma Studios, best known for Desert Combat mod to Battlefield.

DICE bought the developer last September. All 12 members of the New York office have been offered employment at DICE’s offices in Sweden.

By shutting down this New York office, the company will be able lessen their expenses. Additionally, the company will no longer have to pay the supplement payment of $200,000 as agreed to when first acquiring Trauma Studios. Thus, the total payment for the developer had been $300,000.

DICE had bought Trauma for its trademarks and new game concepts.
