June 15^th, 2005 (3:16am) - Vin Diesel has signed with 20th Century Fox to play the role of "Agent 47" for the upcoming film adaptation of Eidos Interactive’s popular Hitman game series. Not only this, but Diesel will also act as executive producer for the film.

"’Hitman’ is a project that by the virtue of its DNA can and will reach far beyond its already substantial core audience," said producer Adrian Askarieh. "The canvas on which this adventure takes place is something that movie audiences have embraced for the last 40 years. We obviously are delighted to have Vin Diesel on board, too -- he and Agent 47 are a match made in heaven."
