Sonys Iron Grip to Loosen?
June 20th, 2005 (11:50pm) - According to DFC Intelligence, a marketing research firm, Sonys dominance in the video game console world is going to loosen up in the next generation. DFC expects the PS3 will occupy a maximum of 50% of the market share, a sharp decline when one considers the PS2 currently occupies 70%. DFC calls for Nintendo and Microsoft to make gains from their current 15% each over the next few years. Microsoft is expected to rise, and they might max out at 40%. Nintendo is also expected to rise, but DFC expects them to go no higher than a maximum of 35%. Reported by Anthony Swinnich on June 20th, 2005 (11:50pm) [From: Gamesindustry.biz]
