War in the Pacific v1.60 update released
June 21st, 2005 (11:50pm) - Matrix Games and 2 by 3 Games today announced the release of the sixth post-release update of War in the Pacific: The Struggle Against Japan 1941-1945.
This update focuses on more of the minor bug fixes and has a multitude of subtle map changes that will in turn better recreate the War in the Pacific. The bug fixes over 20 issues, including glitches among the capturing of enemy bases, the loss of experience when replacing large numbers of soldiers in a unit, and unit "all-follow" commands. Additionally, there are over 41 map alterations that more accurately depict the war. The update to v1.6 requires the previous update, v1.5, and is now available online. War In The Pacific is an expanded and massive undertaking that has been recognized as yet another masterpiece from the real live veterans at 2 by 3 games, including Gary Grigsby, Keith Brors, and Joel Billings. War In The Pacific is an amazingly accurate title following the Struggle Against Japan in the years 1941-1945.
