PS3 will lose Sony $1.18B in first year
June 29th, 2005 (9:40am) - Japanese magazine Toyo Keizai is reporting that Merrill Lynch Japan Securities revealed that if Sony retails their upcoming PlayStation 3 for around $399 US, they will lose approximately $103 per console before shipping expenses. Also estimated were Sonys 1 year losses of approximately $1.18 Billion US.
