July 1st, 2005 (3:25pm) - This weeks latest Media Create sales charts show that Segas Pokemon-inspired Mushiking: Greatest Champion no Michi topped the sales with a strong debut with over 200,000 units of the game sold. Following Mushiking is Nintendos Adult Brain Training for the Nintendo DS, a game which has surprisingly sold strongly since its debut almost a month ago. The rest of the chart is comprised of more new releases, including Coded Arms from Konami for the PSP.
On the hardware side of things, Mushikings debut cause a surge in Game Boy Advance SP sales as it not only doubled in sales from the previous week, but even outsold Sonys more powerful handheld, the PSP. Once again, the Nintendo DS is Japans best selling piece of videogame machinery for the week.
